Everstone Build & Development Ltd is a Chartered Civil Engineer-led building company based in Manchester, founded and led by Dr Omid Khalaj (CEng MICE, RoGEP), managing extensions, conversions, renovations and structural works from design to handover across South Manchester and Cheshire.

Omid founded Everstone Build & Development after more than two decades in construction, civil engineering, research and consultancy, working across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. Everstone brings that experience together with a professional team of skilled specialists, under one accountable company.
Your project is led by a Chartered Civil Engineer from the first conversation to final handover. When Omid looks at your house he sees the loads, the foundations and the ground as well as the finish. That means practical technical advice, thoughtful solutions, and an honest answer early on about what will and will not work.
We manage the complete project, from the earliest design stages through to final handover. We coordinate the design, building work, trades, installations and finishes, so you have one contractor and one point of contact throughout, without needing to find and manage separate contractors yourself.
Omid is personally involved from the first conversation. He visits, explains your project, its challenges and the possible solutions in plain English, and confirms the details in writing, so you know exactly what you are getting before any work starts.

Omid founded Everstone Build & Development after more than two decades in construction and civil engineering. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng MICE), and a Registered Ground Engineering Professional (RoGEP).
He holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, an MSc in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Civil Engineering, and a separate PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
For you, that means practical technical advice, thoughtful solutions, clear communication and professional project management, from the person responsible for both the design and the build. Omid personally leads every project, from the first site visit to handover.
