The personal data we collect
We collect the following information:
How and why we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes, relying on the lawful bases shown:
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and with others where the law requires. Our main service providers are:
International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Twilio, Google, Meta, Microsoft and Anthropic, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK-US data bridge for certified providers or the ICO's international data transfer agreement or addendum.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and similar storage to make the website work and to remember your cookie choice. We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you accept them in our cookie banner. We remember your choice for 12 months, and you can change it at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
How long we keep your data
If you make an enquiry but do not become a client, we keep your enquiry details for up to 24 months from our last contact, then delete or anonymise them. If you become a client, we keep project and financial records for six years after the project is completed, or longer where the work is covered by a guarantee or deed, to meet our legal and tax obligations and to deal with any claims. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of each provider.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
Keeping your data secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls and password-protected systems, and we only give access to people who need it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
