Double-Storey Extension, Dormer Loft Conversion

A complete transformation including a double-storey rear extension, full dormer loft conversion and extensive alterations and refurbishment throughout the house.

This project combined three major pieces of work in one programme: a new double-storey rear extension, a full dormer loft conversion, and extensive alterations and refurbishment throughout the house.

The works included significant structural modifications to create larger, more practical living spaces, together with the complete conversion of the loft to provide valuable additional accommodation. Doing the extension and the loft together meant the structure, services and finishes could be planned as a whole rather than as separate jobs, with steel beams, new floor joists and a new staircase connecting the floors.

The property was upgraded throughout with new finishes and services, including underfloor heating, a new open-plan kitchen and living space, a glass balustrade staircase and new bathrooms. The result is a substantially extended and modernised family home that makes the most of both the available floor space and the potential of the existing property.
