Open-Plan Transformation with New Porch & Rear Extension
- Type
- Extension, Structural works, Renovation
A full renovation of a semi-detached home with a new porch and rear extension, open-plan layout, new kitchen, ground-floor WC and staircase renewal.
This project transformed a two-storey semi-detached house through a full ground-floor refurbishment and a new rear extension. All internal ground-floor walls were removed to create a bright, open-plan living space, supported by newly installed structural steelwork.
The interior was stripped back to brick, which allowed complete replumbing and rewiring throughout the ground floor. A modern WC was added, and a new kitchen was designed and installed as the heart of the new layout. The staircase was replaced to suit the updated design.
At the front, a new porch was built to improve the entrance and the way the house presents to the street. The photographs follow the work from the original frontage, through the foundations, steelwork and roof, to the finished kitchen, bathroom and oak staircase. The result is a practical, contemporary family home built for modern living.
