Double & Single-Storey Extensions

A complete structural overhaul, including double and single-storey extensions, rebuilding the property to new-build standards with modern reinforcement.

This was a very extensive project: a double-storey rear extension of 15m x 6m, a single-storey side extension of 16m x 2m and a single-storey front extension of 8m x 4m, completely redefining the existing house.

The whole house also underwent a full structural overhaul. All floors, ceilings and plasterboard were removed and the joists were replaced to create a modern, reinforced structure, in effect rebuilding the house to new-build standards. The photographs show the scale of the groundworks, drainage and steel frame needed to carry the new rear extension and its wide glazed openings.

Inside, the finished house includes a floating staircase with LED lighting, a feature fireplace and a new kitchen with an island. Outside, the front was completed with a new garage door and block paved drive, and the rear with full-width glazing onto the garden.
