Refurbishment, Garage Conversion & Open-Plan Living

A full property refurbishment, including wall removals and a garage conversion, to create a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a modern and airy feel.

This project focused on making better use of the existing house. It combined a full refurbishment, the removal of internal walls and a complete garage conversion.

Opening up the layout created a bright, spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Removing walls in an existing house needs the loads above to be picked up properly, and the photographs show the openings being formed and made good before the new finishes went in. A flat roof light brings daylight into the reconfigured space.

The work was finished with a new media wall, new internal doors, a refurbished staircase and a new stone patio, so the home now flows from room to room and out to the garden.
